Project: Learning and Psychosocial Recovery Units for Children

Al-Burij Society for Community Rehabilitation is seeking qualified candidates to join the project “Learning and Psychosocial Recovery Units for Children Affected by War.”
The project aims to provide a safe and stimulating environment for children aged 6–12 years, combining active learning and psychosocial support to promote their recovery and well-being.
Position:
2 Male Psychosocial Support Facilitators
Purpose of the Position:
To provide interactive sessions and emotional support that promote children's well-being and psychosocial development, and help them cope with and recover from the effects of war and displacement in a safe and child-protective environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct interactive psychosocial support sessions and activities for children to strengthen coping skills and psychological resilience (ages 6–12).
- Use age-appropriate psychosocial support methods and techniques.
- Provide emotional and psychological support to children affected by war and displacement.
- Monitor children's well-being and document their progress and responses during activities.
- Collaborate with the project team to ensure integration between psychosocial support and educational activities.
- Report any cases requiring specialized intervention in accordance with established child protection procedures.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Education:
A university degree in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health, or a related field.
Experience:
Previous experience in providing psychosocial support to children is required/preferred, particularly in contexts affected by crises and conflict.
Skills:
- Knowledge of psychosocial support methods and techniques.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Full commitment to child protection and safety principles.
Contract Details:
- Contract Duration: 4 months
- Working Hours: 6 hours per day, 6 days per week
